Meet Callum
Callum Maxwell — Founder & Director
Callum has over ten years of cybersecurity and digital safeguarding experience across government, the military, academia, and the private sector.
His career began in academia, specialising in how extremist organisations target and radicalise children online, an area that first drew his attention to how the digital world shapes, and can harm, children's lives. He worked in organisations including Wilton Park, Oxford University, and Cambridge University.
He then spent several years as a cybersecurity professional in the UK Cabinet Office, working on major national programmes across election security, crisis response, and critical national infrastructure protection, developing the kind of structured, methodical approach to risk that he now applies to families.
As a parent himself, Callum saw something was missing. Families could find generic advice online, but not structured guidance, tailored risk assessments, or real support when things go wrong. Lomond Cyber was built to change that.
Callum holds an MSc in Software and Systems Security from Oxford University (certified by the National Cyber Security Centre, NCSC), an MA in International Security from Sciences Po Paris, and a BA (Hons) in War Studies from King's College London.
He maintains DBS clearance and Level 3 Safeguarding Children certification.
